how does where we live affect the way we behave/dress?
Besides the most elementary things like temperature... is there also a different mentality? i live near the sea, about 100 metres away actually, and as much as i love the clean city look, i never manage to pull it off. The jacket that looked so sophisticated, crisp and no nonsense in the store, can't find a good match in my closet. It's never a polished look, something is always slightly off.
Be it my uncombed hair, bangles that are too large or a pair of chuck taylors where they shouldn't be. i've grown to love it, it's who i am.
i don't doubt when i see a suupercute fairytale like little white summer dress, because i know i'll be able to wear it out on the beach all summer, but i can imagine other people thinking twice before buying it.
i wonder how i would have looked if i still lived in 't Gooi. (Posh area of the netherlands...)
